Plant Profiles

Every plant on the site, with its typical USDA zone range. Plants with a full written profile link there; the rest link to a zone within their own range as a starting point. Use the planting calendar to see any plant timed for your own zone. Indoor plants have their ownhouse plant guides, and big yard trees are under shade trees.

Vegetables

Peppers

Sweet, mild and hot peppers, each with its own timing. The hotter types generally need a longer, warmer season, so they start indoors earlier.

Fruit & Berries

These live in the bed for years rather than a season, so the zone range below is winter hardiness rather than season length, and the wait is measured in seasons.
